Cambridge City Council will be holding a special council session giving us an update on the new Cambridge multiplex facility.
The last meeting was held in December, when the Site Evaluation Assessment Task Force presented their recommendation of potential sites.
City staff will now be going over the implications of each site and review their options.
Topics of discussion are expected to be the potential cost estimates, timing, and how much a multiplex will cost taxpayers in Cambridge
Mayor Doug Craig says they’ve still got a long way to go before we see construction.
“Everything depends on the selection that council makes, if it gets into a partnership, if it gets into land acquisition, it may take a lot longer to get a final resolution,” says Craig. “It’s going to be a slow process, but the end is in sight.”
The open meeting will be held Monday starting at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Cambridge City Hall.
