Snow squall watch ended, but more winter weather in store for Waterloo Region

Wintry conditions has hit Waterloo Region and much of southern Ontario.

Environment Canada issued a snow squall watch Thursday night but that has since ended for Waterloo Region, Guelph, Erin, and Wellington County. However, there could still be a possibility of blowing snow due to high wind conditions.

Squalls have already started to develop off Lake Huron and they are expected to continue into Sunday.

Waterloo Region could get up to 15 centimeters of snow by Sunday when it’s all said and done.

It’s also going to be a frigid cold couple of days, with highs reaching minus 6 but with the windchill, the temperature could drop into the high teens.
