Kitchener man faces arson charges after house fire

Regional Police say a fire on Wellington Street in Kitchener that caused a quarter-million dollars in damage was arson.
A 32-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with Arson Endangering Life, and Arson Causing Damage to Property.
This happened February 23 at 193 Wellington, a multi-unit residential home was engulfed in flames.
A property next door also took minor damage from the heat of the blaze.
A female tenant who lives upstairs was able to escape the fire, she was treated for smoke inhalation, but her two cats died.
