Expect some new road closures in Uptown Waterloo starting next week.
GrandLinq says there will be three, short-term road closures in the Uptown core starting March 6th to complete minor repairs and underground utility work.
The work will be completed in phases, starting with shutting down King Street between Erb and William on Monday.
The second phase is expected to start March 9th, and involves closing King between William and Allen.
The last phase is expected to start March 13th, and involves closing King between William and John.
Construction during all three phases will be carried out Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to take about three weeks.
The Region of Waterloo says detours will be in place and access to businesses will be maintained throughout the closures.
