Teenage girl sexually assaulted in Guelph, 21-year-old charged

Police are reminding us to use caution when walking alone on city streets after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in Guelph.
Guelph Police say the girl was walking alone at York at Watson around 4 p.m. on Thursday when a man approached her, and sexually assaulted her.
The girl did not receive physical injuries, and called the police immediately after.
Police were able to track down the suspect a short time later.
21-year-old Don Ekanayake of Guelph was arrested and charged for sexual assault.
