Police looking for suspect after female assaulted on Iron Horse Trail

Regional Police are out with a reminder to take precaution when walking in secluded areas at night following an attempted robbery in Kitchener on Thursday.
Police say just after midnight, a female was assaulted by a male who attempted to steal her back pack on the Iron Horse Trail on Queen St South.
She suffered minor injuries but no items were taken. The suspect fled on foot.
The man is described as being between 20-25 years old with dark skin, a medium build and dark hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
