‘Stage 2’ ION public consultations beginning later this month

The Region of Waterloo is getting ready to host a series of public consultations as they head into ‘Stage 2’ of ION construction.

The second stage of ION construction will focus on LRT service between Kitchener and Cambridge.

The public consultations were originally scheduled for this week, but due to on-going City of Cambridge labour negotiations, have been pushed back to later this month.

A list of the new dates can be found below.

  • Thursday, February 23rd from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lions Arena Hall at 20 Rittenhouse Road in Kitchener.
  • Tuesday, February 28th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kin Club of Cambridge at 1400 Hamilton Street in Cambridge.
  • Wednesday, March 1st from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Newfoundland Club at 1500 Dunbar Road in Cambridge.

Grandlinq and the Region add that more public consultations will be scheduled in Kitchener and Cambridge for later this year.
