Rangers edge IceDogs to halt losing streak

The Niagara IceDogs clawed back, but the Rangers were able to pull out a 4-3 win in overtime to end their four game losing streak on Tuesday night at The Aud.

Adam Mascherin potted the winning goal, his 32nd of the season.

“We’re resilient and I think our record as of late hasn’t been fantastic, but it’s not indicative of our attitude for sure…came up with a big two points tonight.” said Mascherin.

Mascherin would also pick up an assist. The Florida Panthers prospect now has a career high 82 points.

Luke Opilka made 31 saves for his 10th win of the season.

The victory puts Kitchener four points ahead of the seventh place Sarnia Sting.

The Rangers entertain London on Friday. 570 News will have the pre-game show at 6:35 p.m.
