Waterloo and Guelph among best places for Americans to move to

Two local cities have topped a list of best places for Americans to move to.

The article in Business Insider says that since Donald Trump is now president, many Americans are ” thinking about jumping ship to neighbouring Canada.”

MoneySense complied the list that looked at over 200 cities and towns and ranked them on well-being, with a focusing on low unemployment rent and low monthly rent.

Waterloo comes in at number three on the list and Mayor Dave Jaworsky says the Toronto-Waterloo Corridor is a big factor for the city’s high ranking.

“When people want to move to a place they want be able to get a job and live in a place that has a thriving economy and that is our end of the Toronto-Waterloo Region Corridor has to offer.”

Jaworsky adds that Waterloo is Canada’s education city with 50,000 students and three great post-secondary institution.

Guelph came in at number 10 with Ottawa taking the top spot.
