Snow Monday night, then freezing rain by Tuesday morning

Enjoy the drive into the work this morning, because it could be a very messy commute at this time tomorrow.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of southern Ontario, including Waterloo Region, Wellington and Perth Counties and surrounding areas.

We’re expecting snow to develop tonight and then switch over to freezing rain by morning.

It warns some areas could experience several hours of freezing rain before the temperature climbs above freezing and it changes over to straight rain.

It does says “there is still considerable uncertainty to the track of the low pressure area, which will affect how much snow, freezing rain, or rain will fall in a particular location.”
