Our provincial Minister of Labour launched this year’s Occupational Health & Safety and Prevention Innovation Program at Wilfrid Laurier University Monday.
MPP Kevin Flynn says their goal is to support projects that will help employees stay healthy and safe at work. Laurier was one of 12 beneficiaries of funding last year.
This means supports for organizations that focus on improving workplace mental health, address equipment hazards and prevent occupational disease.
Flynn says, “Investing in inventive approaches to workplace health and safety focuses our resources on where they will make the biggest difference. These projects will foster collaboration and spur innovation to help reduce injuries and save lives in workplaces across Ontario.”
The deadline to apply to the program is April 25, 2017.
