London Police charge 17-year-vet of Waterloo Regional Police after an off-duty matter

A member of the Waterloo Regional Police Service is facing charges after an off-duty matter.
Regional Police say the officer is a 17-year-vet of the force and is facing six counts of Assault, one count of Assault with a Weapon and one count of Sexual Assault.
The reported incidents occurred between May 2013 and March 2015.
Police won’t be releasing a name, to keep the victim’s identity private.
They do say, the member is a patrol officer with North Division, in Waterloo.
The member has been suspended with pay as per the requirements of the Police Services Act of Ontario while the investigation continues.
The officer is scheduled to appear in London court on Monday February 27, 2017.
