Guelph Police want to remind you to stay safe as we expect warmer weather in the forecast heading into the weekend.
Activities such as ice fishing, hiking, or pond hockey along streams could be unsafe when mild temperatures hit.
Water, no matter the size, can become dangerous under spring-like conditions and although they may look safe, Guelph Police are asking to to stay away from them.
They are also urging you to keep a close eye on children and pets around rivers and streams as water level could be high and the flows faster than usual.
