More snow expected to start Monday night

Another blast of winter is heading our way.

As crews continue to clean up following yesterday morning’s snow, Environment Canada has issued a special weather advisory for Waterloo Region, Wellington County, Perth County and much of southern Ontario.

It says snow is expected to develop tonight with 10 to 15 centimeters forecasted before it changes over to rain.

There’s also the potential for ice pellets and freezing rain.

It’s a Colorado low that’s sweeping into the province and it could have an impact on the commute tomorrow morning.

As for the current clean up, Kitchener has extended their snow event until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, meaning no parking on any city street or risk being ticketed and/or towed. Cambridge has their snow event in place until 7 p.m. on Wednesday as well. Waterloo’s is in place until 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
