It’s a big year for the University of Waterloo as it celebrates 60 years of innovation.
The milestone year officially kicks off on Monday, January 9, with Beyond 60, featuring prestigious speakers from UW, MIT, and American computer professional and former CIA employee Edward Snowden.
Kelly McManus with the University of Waterloo says they are challenging us to look another 60 years into the future.
“University campuses are places where people can come to learn about different perspectives, encourage debate, and challenge you to think about things differently,” says McManus. “To kick off such an important year for us, we really wanted to welcome our community to come and learn, and be stimulated, and think along with us.”
If you missed your chance to get a ticket, McManus says there is still time to register for viewing events across UW campuses.
