Rangers host Steelheads in Teddy Bear Toss

Fans of the Kitchener Rangers are a generous bunch.

They’ve donated close to 122,000 plush toys in the last 21 years the team has been hosting the Teddy Bear Toss.

In 2015, over 10,000 stuffed toys went to local charities, a new record.

Kitchener will host Mississauga in their Teddy Bear Toss game on Wednesday. You can listen to the pre-game show on 570 News at 6:35pm.

Connor Bunnaman scored the teddy bear goal last year.

The Rangers picked up three points in eastern Ontario over the weekend, including an overtime win in Ottawa on Saturday.

Many had picked the Steelheads as a team to watch this season. They’ve struggled an are currently fourth in the Central Division.

Kitchener won the first meeting of the season 3-2 back on October 23rd.
