Two men face charges after major drug bust in Cambridge

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Drug Branch have arrested a man in connection to a fentanyl and cocaine trafficking investigation.
The 53-year-old Cambridge man was arrested in his vehicle, along with another man, in a parking lot on Water Street on Wednesday.
Police found the man in possession of 41 counterfeit Oxycodone 80s (believed to be fentanyl), 41 percocets, 32 grams of cocaine, and around $12,000 cash.
After finding the drugs, police executed a search warrant on a home in Cambridge and found an additional 110 grams of cocaine, 7 percocets, 144 grams of cannabis resin, 152 grams of marihuana, and 30 unknown pills.
The 53-year-old man is charged with five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and was released on promise to appear. The vehicle involved was seized.
The passenger, a 40-year-old Cambridge man, was also charged with Possession of A Controlled Substance.
Police say the estimated street value of the drugs seized is around $12,000.
