WB 401 at Trafalgar back open following fatal crash

A 61-year-old truck driver is dead following a collision involving two tractor-trailers on Highway 401 in Milton.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of the highway near Trafalgar Road just before midnight on Tuesday.
Ontario Provincial Police say multiple trucks were slowing down due to traffic backup and construction up ahead when one of the trucks slammed into the rear of the other.
The driver of the rear truck– a 61-year-old man from Ajax– died at the scene. The other driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A third vehicle, a minivan, was also involved in the crash. The vehicle was struck with some debris.
The westbound lanes were closed at Trafalgar for around seven hours, but reopened just after 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
