Rangers defeat Storm for second time this season

The Kitchener Rangers picked up four of a possible six points on the weekend.

Their 3-2 win in Guelph on Sunday afternoon also put them back into first place in the Midwest Division.

Adam Mascherin was in on all three Kitchener goals, ending the afternoon with a goal and two assists.

Jeremy Bracco also had a pair of helpers. The Maple Leafs prospect now has 17 points in just six games.

Meantime, Dawson Carty made 25 saves for his sixth win of the season.

“…I thought this was one of the best defensive games of the season for us, thought that was a positive. A bit of a week one on me at the end there, but a win is a win, so it feels good.” said Carty.

Rangers Head Coach Jay McKee says it was a good response following Saturday night’s loss in Owen Sound – “Good goaltending. Our guys that were on the PK, guys like Henderson, Cascagnette, Llewellyn, they put a lot of minutes up tonight, did a good job, so I’m pretty proud of the team right now.”

The Rangers play in London on Thursday. 570 News will have the pre-game show starting at 6:30pm.
