Fox’s Lou Dobbs apologizes for tweeting accuser’s info

By The Associated Press

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Fox Business Network’s Lou Dobbs apologized Thursday for tweeting the address and phone number of a woman who alleged Donald Trump had groped her without her consent.

Dobbs on Thursday retweeted a news article about accusations made by a New York woman, Jessica Leeds. She told The New York Times that the future Republican presidential candidate had grabbed her breasts and tried to reach up her dress on an airplane more than 30 years ago. Trump has denied the allegations.

The link Dobbs had retweeted — not from the Times — added Leeds’ personal information, and his tweet was subsequently disseminated.

Dobbs then retweeted a Politico story about what he’d done, adding “My Retweet, My Mistake, My Apology to Jessica Leeds.”
