Sting drop the Rangers for first time this year in a shootout

It’s the first marker in the loss column for the Kitchener Rangers.

They dropped their first game of the season to the Sarnia Sting, a 6-5 loss in the shootout.

Head Coach Jay McKee says the Rangers have to work on being more disciplined.

“Momentum shifts when you take penalites and you have to stay out of the box it was another three penalties that’s too many and I know some were maybe warranted but that’s how the game goes.”

Kitchener boxer, Mandy Bujold was also on hand to drop the puck for the ceremonial faceoff.

The Rangers are back at it tonight in Barrie.
