Devils sign Kitchener’s Kyle Quincey to one-year deal

The New Jersey Devils have signed defenceman Kyle Quincey to a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.

The one-way deal is worth $1.25 million.

The 31-year-old blueliner spent the last four seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, which is also where he began his career in 2005. 2016-17 will be his ninth NHL campaign, having also skated with the Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings.

Quincey, who hails from Kitchener, Ont., has registered 30 goals, 110 assists and 469 penalty minutes in 495 career regular season NHL games.
