Police look for armed suspect wanted in Cambridge robbery

Waterloo Regional Police had to call in the K9 unit to track down a robbery suspect armed with a handgun in Cambridge Thursday.

A man was in his house on Sekura Crescent just before 11pm when he heard the front door open and saw a man walk inside. He was pointing what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash before leaving the scene in the direction of Harmony Court and Sekura Crescent.

A short time later police received calls that a man with a gun was seen in the area of Glen Road and Winter Avenue.

That is when officers called in the police dogs but they couldn’t track anyone down.

The man is described as white, between 20 and 25 years old, 150 to 160 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie, black ball cap, black pants and a black bandana over the lower part of his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 519-653-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
