Tonight’s dinner menu: Wiens and Beans

For many people in New Hamburg, tonight’s dinner is wieners and beans.
That’s what’s being served at the 22nd annual Poor Boy’s Luncheon at the New Hamburg Community Centre raising money for the Wilmot Family Resource Centre.
Last year, the centre raised $30,000, this year, their goal is to raise $32,000.
Marietta Wagler with the Centre says they’re preparing massive amounts of food today.
“We do fourteen 18-quart roasting ovens of beans; 65 cans of 128oz beans. We get 240 dozen hot dogs,” says Wagler. “It’s a lot of food.”
You can head down tonight, it’s open again tonight from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
