Laurier’s Boateng expected to be top CFL pick

A member of the football team at Wilfrid Laurier University is expected to go early in the 2017 CFL Draft.

Defensive lineman Kwaku Boateng is the top-ranked CIS player on the first list put out by the CFL’s Scouting Bureau.

The Milton native already has three sacks and two forced fumbles in Laurier’s first two games of this season.

Golden Hawks linebacker Nakas Onyeka is ranked 16th on the list.

Laurier plays at Carleton on Saturday at 1pm.
