Elderly woman dead after hitting tree in parking lot at Kitchener arena

A crash in an arena parking-lot in Kitchener resulted in the death of the driver.
It happened on Thursday, just after 1pm.
Waterloo Regional Police say the 85-year-old woman was in the parking lot at Grand River Arena when she struck a tree at a high rate of speed.
She was pronounced dead at hospital.
