This is the fifth year for the tournament, which includes 29 Olympians and 16 of the top 25 ranked players in the world.

Lydia Ko, the world’s top player, is back at Whistle Bear, seeking her fifth win of 2016. The 19-year-old from New Zealand recently won silver at the Rio Olympics.

World number two Ariya Jutanugarn is red hot, having won two straight tournaments, including the CP Canadian Women’s Open in Calgary last weekend. The 20-year-old from Thailand has five wins in total, the most of any player on the LPGA this season.

Canadian Olympian Brooke Henderson, number 3 in the world, already has two wins under her belt in 2016, including her first major. The 18-year-old made her debut at the Manulife LPGA Classic as a 15-year-old.

13 Canucks will tee it up, which will be the largest ever Canadian field for the tournament.

In addition to Henderson, the Canadian contingent includes Alena Sharp, who is coming off her best ever finish, 4th at the CP Canadian Women’s Open, as well as Selina Costabile, Maddie Szeryk, Josée Doyon, Jennifer Ha, Lorie Kane, Jennifer Kirby and Samantha Richdale.
