Forensic teams at former home of Linda Daniel and Glenn Bauman

Forensic teams remain at a home on Hessen Strasse outside St. Clements.

570 News has learned the home belonged to Linda Daniel and Glenn Bauman, who bought it in 2006 and owned the property for a number of years.

47-year-old Daniel and her 13-year-old daughter Cheyenne haven’t been seen or heard from since July of 2011.

At a media briefing this morning, Inspector Mike Haffner with Regional Police says the family currently living at the home has been moved out.

“The family that is living there now has been understanding and cooperative and has nothing to do with the investigation.”

Regional police are partnering with the Centre for Forensic Sciences scouring for evidence.

Haffner says information came to Regional police in 2015 regarding the incident and notes that it’s a “complex investigation”.

Last Friday, August 19th, Regional Police and RCMP in Alberta arrested 43-year-old Glenn Bauman of Valleyview, Alberta. He faces two charges each of First Degree Murder and Offering an Indignity to a Body.

Based on evidence Regional police currently have right now, Haffner says “the first-degree murder and indignity to body charges are appropriate”.

He adds, they focused the investigation on the common-law husband, who is now charged.

Regional police say they have checked social media databases of the victims and they have been dormant for some time.

Tarps are visible in the backyard, police say “there may be digging involved”.

Haffner tells us Cheyenne was a “normal, 13-year old girl”. She’s described as “an avid horseback rider”.

Her mother, Linda Daniel is being described as “a stay at home housewife.”

Bauman was a truck driver by trade and was unemployed at the time of his arrest.
