Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down 21 cents, or 4.68 per cent, to $4.28 on 7.2-million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 28 cents, or 4.20 per cent, to $6.94 on 6.2-million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Up 17 cents, or 1.40 per cent, to $12.34 on 4.7-million shares.

Merus Labs International Inc. (TSX:MSL). Health care. Down 37 cents, or 23.13 per cent, to $1.23 on 4.3-million shares.

Performance Sports Group Ltd. (TSX:PSG). Travel and leisure. Down $2.09, or 46.44 per cent, to $2.41 on 4.2-million shares. The maker of Bauer hockey equipment saw its bruised share price tumble to the lowest level in years on Monday after the company announced it was unable to file an audited annual report with regulators on time. Performance Sports Group Ltd., which also makes Easton baseball gear and other sports products, said that failure to meet the Aug. 15 deadline puts it in a default position under its credit agreements.

Iamgold Corp. (TSX:IMG). Miner. Down 13 cents, or two per cent, to $6.37 on 3.4-million shares.
