The Kitchener Panthers are one win away from sweeping Hamilton out of the IBL Playoffs.
Tanner Nivins hit a pair of homers as Kitchener thrashed the Cardinals 17-7 at Jack Couch Park on Sunday night.
Both home runs were solo shots, and he now has four in three games.
Matt McGovern (1-0) went five innings for the win, allowing six runs on five hits.
The Panthers will go for the sweep on Tuesday night in Hamilton.
