Four arrested in Waterloo drug raid

Three men and one woman have been arrested and charged after Waterloo Regional Police seize thousands of pills and machinery used to produce pills.

The seizure took place at a residential property on Candlewood and Briarwood Crescent in Waterloo.

All four charged are from the Kitchener – Waterloo area.

The group is facing a number of charges that include manufacturing, trafficking, exporting, and possession of a controlled substance.

Two of the four also face prohibited weapon and knife charges.

Police don’t know yet what the pills are until they receive results back from Health Canada tests.

WRPS Staff Sergeant Sloden Lackov tells 570 News this seizure serves as an important reminder of how dangerous drugs are. “You don’t know who’s making them, what they’re putting in them, and where they come from.”

The three men will appear in court tomorrow morning for a bail hearing. The woman was released on a promise to appear.
