Missing Kitchener snake reportedly found under fridge

That missing snake in Kitchener may have been found.

CHCH is reporting it was never actually missing, the six foot boa constrictor was found coiled under the owner’s fridge.

Miranda Beechy says she told a neighbour in the Courtland and Mill area, that her snake had gone missing, but from its cage, not from her apartment.

However, Director of Operations with the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society, Kathy Innocente tells 570 News that they can’t confirm that.

“The Humane Society cannot confirm the snake has been found, we have yet to speak with the owner. We will be attempting to contact her again this morning.”

The search for the snake began on Tuesday after police and the humane society got a call about the escape of the reptile.
