Guelph police say crashes have decreased since last year

Guelph Police are out with their collision stats and they are down slightly from last year.

There were 1,429 crashes in the city between January 1 and June 30, down 33 from 2015.

The report says the worst month on the roads is January with 324 collision taking place.

245 crashes happened on a Friday, making it the worst day on the roads and 3 p.m. the worst time of day, with 157 collision taking place at that time.

The report also says the top three intersection for a crash to happen in the city takes place at Gordon at Wellington, with 20, Edinburgh at Wellington with 18 and rounding out the top three was the intersection of Edinburgh and Stone Rd with 15.
