Kitchener man charged in fatal Queens Quay crash

A Kitchener man has been charged in connection with a fatal single-vehicle crash on the Queens Quay earlier this month.
The single-vehicle crash happened just before Queens Quay East turns into Parliament Street around 6 p.m. on July 2.
Toronto police say a 31-year-old man, who was driving a Porshe, was heading east on Queens Quay when he lost control of his car and slammed into a building on the street.
A 35-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Porsche, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His condition is not known.
On Tuesday, police arrested Joseph Kirkpatrick and charged him with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and criminal negligence cause death. He was scheduled to appear in court later in the day.
Toronto Police are still looking for two Good Samaritans – both men – who police say pulled the driver and the passenger from the car.
The first of the two Good Samaritans is brown, 30 to 40 years old with a medium build. He has wavy, medium-length black hair on top and shorter hair on the sides. He had a full beard, a black watch on his left wrist and a light-coloured bracelet on his right wrist. He was wearing a red-and-white plaid top, light full-length blue jeans, black shoes (possibly high-tops or work boots with gold or yellow writing), and gold-rimmed dark sunglasses.
The second man is white, 35 to 40 years old, with a medium build. He has short brown hair with sideburns, a full goatee, and a few days’ growth of facial hair. He was wearing a medium-blue golf shirt, dark-blue shorts, a yellow bracelet on right wrist and light-grey, dark-grey and white running shoes.
