Cambridge Country Manor Nursing Home is getting a bit of a facelift.
Cambridge MPP Kathryn McGarry stopped by today to announce the province is going to be renovating up to 95 spaces in the facility and building an addition.
“Enhancing our long-term care homes to ensure they meet modern standards is an important element of our plan to improve residents’ quality of care. Renovations to Cambridge Country Manor will help ensure that residents feel as comfortable and at hoe as possible,” says McGarry in a release.
“Long-term care homes like Cambridge Country Manor are not just facilities – they are peoples’ homes,” says Minister of Health and Long-Term Care Dr. Eric Hoskins in a release. “It’s vital that they remain up-to-date to provide residents with secure, safe and comfortable surroundings. The redevelopment of long-term care homes will also help create jobs in the Cambridge area.”
It’s one of more than 300 long-term care homes being redeveloped over the next nine years.
