CMT Music Festival cancelled Friday’s performance

It was a tough night for country music fans at Bingemans.

Last night’s CMT Music Festival was cancelled due to bad weather.

The storms came in around around 7 p.m. and concert goers were told to evacuate the venue.

Fans were then told by event organizers to hang in there while they assessed the situation.

But, by 10 p.m. they cancelled for the night, due to concerns for public safety.

CMT Music Fest released a statement on their website:

“We are disappointed that CMT Music Fest had to be cancelled Friday due to severe weather conditions. In the interest of public safety, this decision was made to protect fans, artists and staff. The festival will continue today, Saturday, July 9, as scheduled.
