Lisaard House in Cambridge is getting $90,000 and Innisfree House in Kitchener will get a $150,000 boost.

Sheila Ainsworth, Chair, Board of Directors of Lisaard and Innisfree House says the cash will help them continue to provide care for more residents.

“We are extremely thankful for this additional government funding, which together with the ongoing strong support from our community, enables us to continue to provide excellent palliative care and make moments matter for our residents and their families.”

Daiene Vernile, MPP Kitchener Centre and Cambridge MPP Kathryn McGarry made the announcment on Thursday. McGarry says, “Hospice care is an absolutely crucial service to have in our community. Investing in compassionate support for those at the end of life’s journey is important, and is beneficial not only to patients in our health care system, but to our community, and families of patients in our area.”
