FREDERICTON – The New Brunswick government is offering help to people from the province who were displaced by wildfires in Alberta.
Service New Brunswick is working with the Alberta government to provide financial relief to residents affected by the evacuation of Fort McMurray last month.
It will accept applications from New Brunswick residents who may be entitled to funding for evacuees outside the Alberta program, which was announced May 31.
Service New Brunswick says people who want to apply can go to offices in Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton, Dieppe, Woodstock, Bathurst, Miramichi, Campellton and Edmundston.
The Alberta program began Wednesday and will run until June 15.
