‘Day of Play’ at Waterloo Public Square

A busy day in Waterloo as the City put on their first ever ‘Day of Play’

Josh Bean is Festival and Event Coordinator with the City and tells us about the event.

“The ‘Day of Play’ is a day where we invite everyone from all age groups to come out and have fun. We have lots of different activities– maker activities, board games, video games, art activities and much more. We encourage everyone to come out and embrace your inner child!”

The event kicked off at noon today and Bean says it was a success.

“It’s been great! People have been stopping by on their lunches and we’ve had a really great diverse group of people come out. Play is such a huge part of our lives and being an adult, like how we interact with each other, how we have fun and how do we de-stress. So this is just a great opportunity to come out, have fun and enjoy the public space.”

‘Day of Play’ will be happening at Waterloo Public Square every third Wednesday of each month until September.
