Rumer Willis: Digitally editing my jaw is a form of bullying

By The Associated Press

Rumer Willis says those who feel the need to digitally edit her photos in an effort to improve her looks are participating in a “form of bullying.”

The eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore posted a photo to her Instagram account on Tuesday that she says was digitally altered to make her jaw look smaller — an assertion the photographers dispute.

Willis says she finds it “really offensive for anyone to try and change the way you look so drastically.” She says she loves the way she looks and “won’t support anyone” who would make changes to photos in an effort to make her beautiful.

Photos of the actress are featured in this month’s Vanity Fair magazine as part of a spread on celebrity sisters.

Photography team Williams and Hirakawa said in a statement that the image was retouched to “resolve some distortion with using a wide angle lens for a group shot, and not to alter or modify anyone’s face.”

The photographers said they are “saddened” by Willis’ reaction and never intended to change her appearance. They also note the image was an outtake from the magazine phot shoot and was not published in print or online.
