The voice of the Kitchener Rangers on 570 News will once again be working overtime for the entire month of May.
Mike Farwell started his third annual #Farwell4Hire campaign on Sunday. It is a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis.
It’s a cause that hit close to home for Farwell, who’s also part of Campbell and Farwell on our sister station Country 106.7, he lost his sisters, Luanne and Sheri to CF.
As you can see in the picture below, Farwell got things started with a roofing job. He’s also got some painting lined up and will be putting up drywall.
New this year, Weekend at Farwell’s. Mike will be on Country 106.7 for 63 straight hours, starting at 7pm on Friday.
Those who donate $100 to the charity can guest host with Farwell for one hour. Details here.
“…Admittedly it’s kind of a stunt sort of thing, might draw some attention and raise some awareness and get the momentum of the campaign going earlier.”
