The official start to camping season at Grand River Parks

Today marks the official start of the 2016 camping and recreational season at Grand River Parks.

Eleven parks, eight of which offer camping will all be open today.

You can now stop by Byng Island, Brant, Pinehurst, Laurel Creek, Conestogo, Guelph Lake and Elora Gorge

Belwood Lake, Rockwood and Shade’s Mills were already open but now canoe rentals are available.

Some trails may still be affected by that nasty ice storm we got in March. You can find details on that on the GRCA’s Website (www.grandriver.ca/parks)

And if you haven’t got mom a gift yet for Mother’s Day, park entrance at Elora Gorge, Guelph Lake and Rockwood is free on Sunday May 8th.
