Rangers hand out annual awards

The Kitchener Rangers’ season may be wrapped up, but players are being honoured for their great work this season.

The Rangers hosted their awards night a bit differently this year, having it at The Aud, and open to fans for free.

Jeremy Bracco picked up the Charles Chalkin Memorial award for Best Performer in Playoffs.

Ryan McInnis won the 3 Star Award.

Frank Hora won the Herchenrader Family Trophy award for Best Defensive Ability.

The Most Popular Player Award, voted by the team, goes to Kitchener’s Jacob Cascagnette.

The Jim McGeachie Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Team Effort went to Mason Kohn.

Bob “Snowy” Schlieman Award for Best Offensive Defenceman goes to overager Miles Liberati.

Adam Mascherin won Les Bradley Memorial Award for Most Improved Player.

The winner of the Ted Scharf Humanitarian Award is Nick Magyar, a back-to-back winner.

Rookie of the year went to Elijah Roberts.

Both MacInnis and Mascherin won the award for Scoring Champion (81 pts).

The Rangers Most Valuable Player Award is presented to Captain, and two-time winner MacInnis who is also up in the AHL.
