Environment Canada issues an extreme cold warning for Waterloo Region

Another day of frigid temperatures.

An extreme cold warning remains in effect for Waterloo Region, as well as northern and southern Wellington county.

Wind chills are expected to be in between -30 and -40 this morning.

We will have some milder weather by Family Day Monday, when the temperatures will approach the normal value for this time of year.

Environment Canada is reminding us all to dress appropriately, in layers of dry clothing as there is an increased risk of frost bite and hypothermia.
