Police association accepting nominations for its first Hero of the Year Award

It’s a chance to recognize the work of those who serve and protect our community.

The Police Association of Ontario is calling for nominations for its Hero of the Year Award.

“Every day, police officers put their lives on the line for the people they serve, and every day civilian police service employees assist members of their communities during challenging events,” says PAO President, Bruce Chapman.

“Sometimes we forget these police service personnel are moms, dads, and neighbours that go to work like everyone else, and they end up doing some incredible things every day — we would like to know those stories.”

Anyone is welcome to submit a story about how a police services hero went above and beyond the call of duty.

Nominations can be filled out at policehero.ca
