Prominent Waterloo businessman Kirk Scott passes away

You may know him as the voice of Forbes Waterloo Toyota.

Prominent local businessman Kirk Scott has passed away at age 65. He was General Manager of the dealership for the last 17 years.

Scott was also a life-long supporter of the Kitchener Rangers and became a director with the OHL team six years ago.

Russell Forbes of Forbes Waterloo Toyota says Scott was admired and respected by those around him: “People will remember Kirk with his sense of humour and his positive attitude. They’ll remember him as someone that was really well liked…a team player and that did a lot of good for a lot of people.”

The Rangers say Kirk helped to develop and grow the Rangers’ Sun Life Financial Kids In Gear program. He was also
instrumental in helping raise money to assist young athletes and their families in the region struggling with the costs of registration and equipment by way of the Charity Drive Car Draw.

Kirk Scott is survived by his wife, two children, and grand-children.

No funeral details have been announced yet.
