Team Canada drops opener at World Junior Championship

Canada didn’t open the world junior championship the way it usually does. The Canadians started round-robin play yesterday with a 4-2 loss to archrival the United Sates.
Team Canada’s goals were scored by Dylan Strome and Mathew Brazal.
The last time Canada didn’t start the tournament with a victory was 1998 when it tied Slovakia 0-0. Canada has today off but will continue play Monday against Denmark.
In today’s action, Belarus plays Slovakia while Switzerland takes on Denmark.
