Guelph Transit app makes riding bus easier for those with disabilities

A new app for Guelph Transit users is getting some positive feedback.

The app is designed to make riding the bus easier for people with disabilities.

It allows riders to look up how to buy tickets and passes, how to take the bus if you’re in a wheelchair, how to transfer buses and overall make the bus riding experience easier and safer for everyone.

General Manager Phil Meagher tells 570 News that many other services in our area such as Grand River Transit and the Kitchener Public Library also use the app.

“It is also good for people who may not have English as their first language…and it helps walks through them through the process.”

More information on the app, designed by Magnusmode can be found here.
