Terror cell neutralized in raid, Paris prosecutor says

A terror cell neutralized in a massive police raid on Wednesday was ready to act, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said later that same day.

Two people were killed in the seven-hour siege, including a woman who blew herself up, and seven others were arrested.

Molins said the suspected mastermind of Friday’s attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, was not among those arrested in the raid.

The second person killed hasn’t been unidentified.

Molins told reporters the police assault in Saint-Denis, north of Paris, was connected with the terror attacks Friday. The coordinated attacks at a concert hall, nightspots and the national soccer stadium left 127 people dead and other 352 injured
