67’s continue to play in an arena under construction

To say it’s been a long time coming, would be an understatement.

The same arena where the man they call, “Killer”, used to belt out orders at center ice, is now having a portion of itself killed by construction.

The renovations are part of the Lansdowne Park redevelopment, which had the team displaced to the Canadian Tire Centre for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.

According to the most recent schedule, the City expects the Lansdowne Park redevelopment to be done in 2015.

Safe to say, our Mike Farwell and Mike Torchia found out, it’s not the best experience right now when broadcasting 67’s games.
